Terms and Condition of Grant Awards

  1. Grants must be used for the purpose(s) for which they were given (as stated in the Trust's acceptance letter) and should not be used for any other purpose.
  2. If the grant has not been taken up for whatever reason within six months of the date of the acceptance letter, it will automatically lapse unless the Trust has agreed in writing to the delay.
  3. Grants for new posts will not be released until the Trust receives proof of a public advertisement, a copy of the final job description, details of the actual salary to be paid and confirmation of the date of appointment. The start date of the grant will be at the date of appointment of your post holder(s).
  4. If your grant covers a number of years please note that annual payments are subject to a satisfactory report of progress which should reach us 10 weeks before the next payment is required. Please note that your reports should include information from your monitoring and evaluation of your work.
  5. You are required to submit to the Trust a report on the project for which a grant was awarded. We require this report as soon as possible after completion of the project and may we suggest that you put a note against the appropriate date in your diary or calendar to avoid this being overlooked. Please note that failure to provide a report will disqualify your organisation from submitting further applications.
  6. If the grant you received was to reproduce any printed materials, cassettes or videos please enclose a copy with your report, and also enclose a stamped and self addressed envelope if you wish such items to be returned.
  7. Please be efficient about banking your cheque. If it is not banked within one month of its date, the cheque may not be re-issued.
  8. The Trustees reserve the right to impose such additional terms and conditions in relation to individual grants as they shall see fit and as circumstances dictate. Furthermore the Trustees reserve the right to vary these general terms and conditions from time to time as they see fit.
